According to Indian media reports, this exercise is taking place in the context of increasing tension.

Temporary Change in Karachi and Lahore Air Routes

India has announced plans for a major tri-services military exercise, ‘Exercise Trishul,’ to be held along its western border with Pakistan from October 30 to November 10, 2025.

According to First Post, this exercise involving all three armed forces will be a symbol of India’s military self-reliance and joint war preparations.

The airspace reserved for the exercise reaches up to 28,000 feet, marking one of the largest joint operational drills in recent years, as per the sources.

The location and scale of the upcoming exercise are considered unusual, signalling an emphasis on operational preparedness close to the Pakistan border.

A post on X regarding the matter read, “India has issued a notification for a Tri-Services Exercise along its western border with Pakistan; the chosen area & scale of activity are unusual.”

It may be recalled that in May this year, after the ‘attack’ in the Pahalgam area of illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, there was severe tension between the two neighbouring countries, Pakistan and India.

As a result of these tensions, India attacked Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, and Pakistan retaliated vigorously through Operation Banyan um Marsoos.
