Lahore traffic police have issued a comprehensive traffic advisory ahead of the Tri-Series final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday, October 31, 2026, to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate cricket fans travelling to the venue.

According to Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Lahore Abdul Rahim Sherazi, two SSPs, seven DSPs and 90 inspectors will oversee traffic arrangements, while more than 1,000 traffic wardens have been deployed along team routes and alternative roads.

To prevent illegal parking and traffic congestion, 10 forklifts and seven breakdown vehicles have also been deployed. Four designated parking areas have been arranged to facilitate spectators attending the final.

The CTO said Mall Road, Canal Road, Jail Road and Main Boulevard Gulberg will remain open to traffic throughout the match. No road will remain permanently closed during the event. However, temporary closures will be imposed during the movement of the teams, with diversions lifted immediately after their passage.

Parking arrangements for cricket fans

According to the traffic advisory, spectators arriving through Mall Road, Jail Road and Canal Road can park their vehicles at Government College for Boys.

Fans travelling from Thokar Niaz Baig, Johar Town and Kahna can use the designated parking facility at Centre Point College. Meanwhile, spectators coming from Cantt and Defence areas can park their vehicles at Sunfort Hotel.

Traffic updates and helpline

Lahore traffic police will provide real-time traffic updates and alternative route information through Rasta FM 88.6.

Citizens can also contact the police helpline at 15 for assistance or traffic-related guidance.

CTO Abdul Rahim Sherazi has urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel towards Gaddafi Stadium during the movement of the teams and follow instructions issued by traffic personnel regarding parking and stadium access.

The traffic police have advised cricket fans to plan their journeys in advance and use designated parking facilities to avoid inconvenience.
