The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has completely banned the installment facility for consumers to pay their bill.

The officials of LESCO have made this major decision to meet their recovery targets in a bid during the month of June.

As per the new instructions given by the LESCO authorities, the consumers will no longer be able to pay their current or previous outstanding bills in installments.

The field officers of the specific regions have also been asked to recover all the dues without any kind of relaxation.

The LESCO officials clearly said that both current billing amounts and arrears must be collected simultaneously, with special emphasis on recovering outstanding dues from defaulting consumers.

The major recovery decision taken by the electric supply company will focus on the residential, commercial, and industrial consumers.

According to the media reports, the LESCO authorities have also instructed the officers of the specific regions that those houses having their connections disconnected shall not be restored until the related consumers pay his/her outstanding dues.

There has been no official statement issued by the department, yet LESCO have decided to take this major step in order to recover their targets by the end of June and to strengthen their revenue collection.
