The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially notified new prices for imported liquefied natural gas (RLNG) for September 2026, announcing a significant reduction of up to 22 per cent.
According to the notification, the RLNG price on the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) system has been reduced by $3.83 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), bringing the new price to $15.19 per MMBtu.
The transmission price of RLNG for SNGPL has been cut by 19.99 per cent, while the distribution price has been reduced by 20.14 per cent.
Similarly, the RLNG price on the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) system has been reduced by $3.91 per MMBtu, with the new price set at $14.22 per MMBtu.
OGRA has also reduced the RLNG transmission price for SSGC by 21.53 per cent.
The regulator said the revised RLNG prices will remain applicable for one month, covering imported gas supplies and the relevant consumer categories.
The reduction in RLNG prices is expected to lower the cost of imported gas for the affected gas companies and sectors.
