Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim has rejected claims that Pakistan is linked to terrorism, according to reports on Tuesday.
He said Pakistan is not linked to terrorism as a state, saying that no evidence exists.
He refused the “state-sponsored terrorism” tag and praised Pakistan as a great nation with a rich history & civilization.
His comments came after an Indian journalist tried to link the Pahalgam incident to Pakistan.
Anwar Ibrahim rejected the attempt and made it clear that Pakistan cannot be linked to state terrorism.

Malaysia’s Minister of Home Affairs meets Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir
Malaysia’s Minister of Home Affairs Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail met Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Friday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting was also attended by the Malaysian Ambassador to Pakistan and a senior Malaysian delegation.
According to the ISPR, the two sides discussed regional security issues and matters of mutual interest.
They reaffirmed the strong and lasting ties between Pakistan and Malaysia. Both sides also agreed to further expand cooperation in areas of shared interest.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening defence cooperation and strategic ties with Malaysia.
