Joint operation in Mamash Khel: terrorist killed, massive weapons seized

Web desk: Security forces conducted a joint intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mamash Khel, Bannu. The operation resulted in the death of a key target and the arrest of four suspects, officials confirmed.

Security forces killed one terrorist and arrested four suspects during a joint intelligence-based operation.

The operation was carried out following intelligence inputs received on December 8, which indicated terrorist activities in Mamish Khel and its surroundings.

According to the information, the activities of the terrorist group were being monitored by a terrorist named K Barkat Ullah, which was confirmed through technical and human intelligence.

According to security officials, the operation continued till the morning of December 12. While trying to escape, the terrorist K Barkat Ullah was killed by the commandos, from whom an M4 rifle was recovered.

Four suspects were also taken into custody, while a large number of weapons, ammunition, and other equipment were seized.

His body was recovered along with an M4 rifle by the Special Operations Command.

According to the authorities, a joint follow-up operation is underway with the CTD and police to seal the arms shop of the arrested accused.

Security forces said that operations are also being conducted at more suspicious locations in the area.
