Man returning from Umrah dies mid-flight

A passenger returning from Umrah died aboard a private airline flight from Jeddah to Lahore, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Karachi.

During flight PA-471 from Jeddah to Lahore, passenger Abdul Rasheed’s condition suddenly deteriorated.

The airline was Airblue.

With permission from air traffic control, the pilot diverted the flight from Turbat to Karachi.

Upon inspection by the Pakistan Airport Authority’s medical team, it was confirmed that the passenger had passed away.

According to airport doctors, the 67-year-old passenger, Abdul Rasheed, died of a heart attack.

His body was handed over to the medical emergency team and later transported to Lahore.
