Azma Zahid Bokhari, the Information and Culture Minister of Punjab, has responded to the recent reports made by a prominent journalist claiming that the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Mayram Nawaz, has throat cancer. However, the journalist later denied making any such claims, calling it ‘an absolute wrong attribution’.
The minister took to the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, saying that this news is absolutely false.
Further, she added, ‘Mansoor Sahib should come forward himself and correct it, such false propaganda with someone’s life is highly condemnable’.

Previously, prominent Pakistani journalist Mansoor Ali Khan made the shocking claim that CM Maryam Nawaz is battling cancer, reports suggested.
Online reports said that the ‘official government channels and the CM herself have repeatedly labelled her frequent trips to Geneva as routine follow-ups for a chronic parathyroid gland issue.’
Reports add that the journalist claimed that ‘the specialised nature of her treatments and the secrecy surrounding her medical records indicate a struggle with malignancy rather than a simple hormonal imbalance.’
However, Minister Azma Bokhari has now denied these claims, saying that the news is absolutely false. Mansoor Ali Khan also denied making these claims.

Before this, Azma Bokhari backed former TV host and newly minted politician Iqrar ul Hassan after an airport argument. She called on Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to take swift action against the FIA official involved in the matter.
The incident reportedly occurred when Iqrar ul Hassan had a heated exchange with an FIA officer upon returning from abroad. He is the head of the previously formed Awam Raj Tehreek.
Reacting to the incident, Azma Bokhari strongly condemned the official’s behaviour. She stated that government service, especially roles involving a uniform, carries significant responsibility.
“A uniform represents the state,” she said. She added that misconduct by an official not only harms credibility but also affects the institution’s reputation.
Mansoor Ali Khan responds
Mansoor Ali Khan has responded to the whole situation, saying that this is an absolute wrong attribution. ‘I have not claimed anything like that in any of my vlogs,’ the journalist said.
Mansoor Ali Khan is a Pakistani journalist, television anchor, video blogger and podcaster. He began his career in 2007 as a sports journalist.
He also demanded action, saying, ‘I would request the authorities to take legal action against this page.’
This is an absolute wrong attribution. I have not claimed anything like that in any of my vlogs. Its sad to see such fake posts being attributed to @MaryamNSharif. I would request the authorities to take legal action against this page. https://t.co/C7WPBIVnF8
