Security forces and police foiled an attempted robbery at an MCB Bank branch in Chagai by Fitna Al Hindustan, officials said.
The attempted bank heist is more than a financial crime; it is an attack on the peace, livelihoods and confidence of local residents.
According to details, the swift and coordinated response by security forces and police prevented the attackers from carrying out their plan and forced them to retreat before they could loot the bank.
Such groups target the hard-earned savings of citizens, local businesses and the overall peace and stability of Balochistan. The biggest victims of such attacks are ordinary citizens, labourers, traders and daily wage earners who depend on a stable security environment.
Authorities said that the people of Balochistan seek peace, development, education and economic stability rather than fear, extortion, violence and looting. They urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to help prevent such crimes and maintain law and order.
Officials confirmed that a clearance operation against the attackers is still underway, with security forces continuing their efforts until all terrorists involved are eliminated.
Yesterday, the Director General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, issued an important update regarding the security situation in Balochistan on Wednesday.
Three major incidents of terrorism occurred in Balochistan, said the DG ISPR. He further added that during these attacks, innocent lives were targeted by the Fitna al Hindustan.
The military spokesperson also said that Fitna al Khawarij is targeting innocent civilians in Balochistan. He added that the security forces remain committed to stopping terrorism in the region.
According to the DG ISPR, a police checkpost in Ziarat came under attack during one of the incidents. He said security forces responded swiftly to the attack.
The DG ISPR said that security forces killed 15 terrorists in Ziarat during the operation. However, he added that 18 police personnel were martyred after the cowardly terrorists.
He further stated that the terrorists had kidnapped children. He added that the act was another example of their brutality.
A total of 42 security personnel embraced martyrdom during the three operations carried out in Balochistan, the DG ISPR said.
Additionally, 52 Fitna al Khawarij terrorists were killed in these operations. These attacks took place in Mangi Dam, Hanna Urak, and Ziarat.
