An anti-terrorism court has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Meena Khan Afridi and ordered that his passport be blocked.
A special anti-terrorism court in Islamabad has ordered the impounding and blacklisting of the passport of accused Meena Khan Afridi in connection with a case registered at Secretariat Police Station.
According to documents dated September 1, 2026, the accused is nominated in FIR No. 544/24, registered under relevant provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code and the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The court order states that the accused has allegedly been concealing himself to avoid arrest. On a request submitted by the investigation officer, Special Court-II (Anti-Terrorism), Islamabad, allowed the request to block/impound the accused’s passport and directed the concerned authorities to take necessary action in accordance with the law.
Subsequently, the Senior Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Islamabad, wrote to the Director General of Immigration and Passports, requesting implementation of the court’s order.
The police letter stated that efforts were being made to trace the accused, but no clue had been found so far. It enclosed the court order and the investigation officer’s report for further necessary action.
The documents indicate that the passport action has been initiated under Section 28-A of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.
