Web desk: The Red Line Metro Service Islamabad will be suspended for about one hour due to team movement. A traffic alert has been issued for 5:30 pm on October 20 in this regard. The suspension is occurring during the Pakistan vs South Africa Test match team movements.
The VIP movement will take around 15 to 20 minutes, so travellers are advised to plan their routes and expect short delays.

The Test series between Pakistan and South Africa began on October 20. It is to continue until October 24, 2025, with matches scheduled from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Team Movements and Practice Schedule
The teams will travel from Mövenpick Hotel to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Each movement is expected to last approximately 30 to 45 minutes, with a possible variation of 10 to 15 minutes.
- October 18: Practice sessions at 11:45 am and 3:45 pm
- October 19: Practice sessions at 9:15 am and 12:45 pm
- October 20–23: Test matches, team movements at 7:45 am and 5:45 pm
- October 24: Final Test match day, movements at 7:15 am and 5:45 pm
- October 26–27: Practice sessions at 5:45 pm and 9:45 pm
- October 28: T20 match, team movements at 5:30 pm and 11:45 pm
Metro Bus and Traffic Diversions
During team movements, the Red Line Metro Bus service will be temporarily suspended.
Stations at Faizabad, Khatam-e-Nabuwat, and Rehmanabad will remain closed during match hours, as per the reports.
Traffic from Islamabad to Rawalpindi will be diverted from Faizabad to the Expressway. Vehicles traveling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad will be rerouted from Sixth Road to Saidpur Road.
Additionally, Stadium Road will be closed between 9th Avenue Chowk and Double Road throughout the matches.
Traffic from Islamabad can enter Rawalpindi via Faizabad Expressway and IJP Road, according to the reports.
Pakistan vs South Africa
Pakistan began their first innings of the second and final Test against South Africa on a strong note, reaching 146 for two at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
After winning the toss, Captain Shan Masood opted to bat first.
Openers Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq laid a steady foundation for the hosts.
Harmer dismissed Imam after scoring 17 runs, while Abdullah played a composed knock of 57 before getting out.
