MG reduces Binguo EV price by Rs300,000 in Pakistan

Chinese British automaker MG Motor has reduced the price of its compact electric hatchback, the MG Binguo EV, in Pakistan to Rs5,699,000, according to the reports today.

The new price gives buyers a direct saving of Rs300,000 as competition grows in Pakistan’s electric vehicle market.

The revised price appeared in dealer promotions and automotive updates shared online on Monday.

The MG Binguo EV was previously launched at around Rs5.99 million. The vehicle has gained much attention for its city friendly design and modern features. It also has lower running costs compared to petrol powered hatchbacks.

According to MG Pakistan, the Binguo EV comes with a 31.9 kWh battery pack and offers a claimed driving range of up to 333 kilometres on a full charge.

The company says DC fast charging can charge the battery from 30 per cent to 80 per cent in around 35 minutes.

The hatchback includes dual 10.25 inch digital screens, LED lights, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and other safety features designed for urban drivers.

Industry experts also believe that the lower price could attract more first time electric vehicle buyers. This is especially in major cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Pakistan’s EV market has grown in recent months as companies introduce more electric vehicles due to rising fuel prices and government support for cleaner transport.

MG recently also launched the MG4 EV Urban in Pakistan to expand its electric vehicle lineup.

Automotive experts say more companies may reduce prices in the future as brands compete for market share in Pakistan’s growing EV market.

MG Pakistan to launch two new vehicles

MG Pakistan is preparing to introduce two new vehicles in the market, according to the reports.

The company has not made an official announcement yet. However, the information shared by DrivePk suggests that the launches may happen soon.
