The new MG4 EV Urban has been officially unveiled at Rs69.49 lakh in the local market by MG Motor Pakistan, joining the recent launch of other Electric Vehicles in Pakistan’s booming EV market.
The company has focused on a more affordable segment of the electric mobility market with this modern offering, with its ability to charge quickly, and its low price.
The electric hatchback will be powered by a 43kWh battery, with an electric motor in the front delivering 110kW in power and 250Nm of torque.

The vehicle promises a range of up to 316 kilometres (197 miles) on a single charge on WLTP standards, long enough for commuting in the city and as well as longer journeys.
A major feature of the MG4 EV Urban is its ability to charge the car’s battery from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in about 28 minutes from a DC fast charger.
The car also has a deluxe range of options, with 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, heated front seats, wireless charging and a host of advanced driver assistance options.
Safety features include adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection, lane keep assist and 540-degree HD camera system.
This vehicle has been launched during a ceremony in Lahore with the presence of dealers, media persons and members of Pakistan’s automobile industry.
In the meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged officials to expedite initiatives to popularize EV use in the country as they could contribute to mitigating Pakistan’s fuel import cost, enhancing energy security and reducing harmful emissions.
