WEB DESK: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a major operation in Lakki Purdil Begu Khel. They succeeded in gunning down 3 foreign militants.
According to the media reports, CTD Bannu Region conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) along with Lakki Marwat Police.
As per the officials of CTD, the killed terrorists were most wanted in the attacks on the Police, Frontier Corps (FC), and civilians. Target killer Muhammad Nazir, named Mujahid, was killed in the operation.
Muhammad Nazir was involved in the assassination of Traffic constables and CTD personnel. While terrorists Fawadullah, known as Moaz and Afnan Khan, identified as Afnani, were also killed in the operation. They were also involved in serious crimes of killing security officials.
A Kalashnikov, two 9mm pistols, and a mobile phone were recovered from the terrorists.
IG and Additional IG CTD Statements
Inspector General (IG) KP and Additional IG CTD both praised the success of the CTD and Police operation.
IG Zulfiqar Hameed said that for some time, the KP has become a centre of terrorism, and we will not allow any anti-state agents to challenge the peace of our province. Operations against terrorism will be continued until its roots are eradicated permanently from the State.
