The investigation into the murder of young entrepreneur Mir Raza Ali has taken another turn after authorities unlocked his Apple Watch, revealing shocking new digital evidence.
According to senior police officials, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh successfully accessed Mir Raza Ali’s Apple Watch and recovered crucial data, including transaction records and other digital information that could help reconstruct the events leading up to his killing.
Police said both Mir Raza Ali’s iPhone and Apple Watch were previously recovered by Karachi East police during the investigation. However, investigators initially discovered that data stored on both devices had been deleted, complicating forensic examination.
The devices were later transferred to the CTD’s specialised digital forensic laboratory, where experts managed to unlock the Apple Watch and retrieve valuable evidence. Officials believe the recovered information could prove vital in uncovering key links in the murder investigation.
Authorities are still working to unlock Mir Raza Ali’s iPhone, with a dedicated technical team continuing efforts to recover additional data that may provide further insight into the case.
Senior police officials confirmed that investigators have also obtained more important evidence but declined to reveal specific details, citing the sensitivity of the ongoing probe.
Police are expected to hold a press conference within the next 48 hours to announce major developments and share updates on the investigation.

Investigators also disclosed that Mir Raza Ali allegedly faced losses worth millions of rupees in cryptocurrency investments and had sought financial assistance from an investor after experiencing difficulties. His fiancée also told police that he had become deeply focused on his Bitcoin investments.
Police are currently attempting to unlock Mir Raza Ali’s mobile phone, hoping it will provide crucial digital evidence. Investigators have confirmed that data on the device had been deleted before the incident, and forensic experts are working to recover any missing information.
