Mofa announces jobs: Check eligibility, other details here

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has announced 36 vacancies for the post of Consular Assistant at different locations across Pakistan.

Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification are eligible to apply. Applicants must also have basic computer skills, while the maximum age limit for the positions is 30 years.

The vacancies are available for possible postings in Islamabad, Peshawar, Gujrat, Lahore, Karachi and Quetta.

According to the details, the appointments will initially be made on a temporary basis for one year. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview in Islamabad.

Eligible candidates have been advised to submit their complete applications along with the required documents by September 7, 2026.

Earlier, the Government of Pakistan launched a new programme with the United Nations, the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) that can help to create better job opportunities.

The programme will support 20,000 people who are working in the health and care sector. This programme will help them improve their skills, find better jobs and access social protection.

Phases of the programme

The first phase of the programme will run from July 2026 to July 2027. During this period, the focus will be on improving the skills of 20,000 health and care workers.

Providing better and decent job opportunities
Improving health and safety at workplaces
