Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has criticised a political party chief for being upset over not receiving a share in the governor’s rule or being appointed governor.
Speaking informally to journalists in Lahore, Naqvi said that the politician had relied on the establishment for political support for several decades.
He claimed that the politician had even depended on the establishment to arrange air tickets for his party.
Naqvi said that political leaders should avoid using inappropriate language and making accusations against others. He added that political differences should be discussed through facts and arguments.
What did Mohsin Naqvi say about former FATA?
The interior minister also questioned the concerns raised by some political leaders over the resources allocated to the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
He asked why these leaders had remained silent when the former FATA districts were not receiving their fair share of resources for several years.
Naqvi said that the rights and resources of the people of former FATA should be treated separately from political interests.
What did he say about security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa?
Naqvi said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) was facing serious security challenges.
He urged political leaders to help restore peace and eliminate terrorism instead of creating tensions and spreading unrest.
He added that the province needed peace and stability rather than political confrontation.
Mohsin Naqvi provides bulletproof vehicles to Bannu police
Previously, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi provided modern bulletproof vehicles to improve police safety and counterterrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The vehicles have now arrived at Bannu Police Lines. They will help protect police personnel during operations in high-risk areas and improve their ability to fight terrorism.
The move is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) following the emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It is also expected to support efforts to maintain law and order in the region.
