The Sindh government has decided to digitise the retirement records of government employees across all departments to ensure the timely payment of retirement benefits. Under the new directive, employees will receive their gratuity and General Provident (GP) Fund payments on the day of their retirement.
The College Education Department has issued instructions to implement the decision following approval by Secretary of the College Education Department Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon. The official notification was issued by Section Officer (General Administration) Ghulam Mustafa.
According to the notification, the retirement records of employees must be submitted six months before their retirement to ensure that all necessary formalities are completed and payments are released on time. The directive makes it clear that delays in the payment of gratuity and GP Fund dues to retiring employees will not be tolerated. It also instructs the relevant authorities to resolve all matters related to retirement benefits within the stipulated timeframe.
