Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has gotten married and reportedly accepted four tolas of gold as mehr from her husband, Hamza Habib Chohan.
The value of the gold is estimated to be around Rs1.8 to Rs1.9 million, reports say. Reports also said that allegations of millions of rupees in dowry demands have now ended after the marriage.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court granted interim protective bail to Hamza Habib. It was in a case related to alleged threats against PML N MPA Saqib Chadhar.
Hamza Habib appeared before the court with his legal team. His lawyer told the court that Habib wanted to join the investigation before the Jhang police to prove his innocence. But he feared unlawful arrest.
The lawyer also requested protective bail so Habib could appear before the relevant district court for the pre arrest bail.
Justice Abher Gul Khan approved the request and granted protective bail until June 1. The court also directed him to go to the relevant court before the next hearing.
Jhang police had registered a case against Habib on allegations that he issued life threats to the ruling party lawmaker.
Speaking to the media, Habib said that he had already had a nikah with Momina Iqbal and that she was his wife and his “honour”.
He also said their wedding ceremony would take place as planned and that he would not leave Momina.
Habib claimed that MPA Saqib Chadhar had filed a false FIR against him. He further alleged that the MPA contacted him and offered money in exchange for stepping away from Momina.
He said Chadhar should keep his money and added, “He cannot buy me.”
“I am married to Momina Iqbal; she is my legal wife and my honour,” Hamza said during the interaction. The statement quickly went viral across Pakistani social media platforms.
Rumours regarding the actress’s marriage had been circulating online for several days. This was even before the court appearance confirmed the development publicly.
