Momina Iqbal reveals reasons behind rejecting Saqib Chadhar’s proposal

Momina Iqbal breaks silence on rejecting Saqib Chadhar proposal

Pakistani star actress Momina Iqbal has spoken publicly about her decision to reject the marriage proposal of MPA Saqib Chadhar.

In a detailed post on her official Instagram account, Momina uploaded a series of images, including copies of an FIR and bank transaction slips. Explaining her silence on the matter, she said she could no longer remain quiet about what she described as cyber harassment, blackmail for a forced marriage, and death threats allegedly linked to her refusal of the proposal.

Momina stated that her decision to reject the proposal was not solely based on what she alleged was a false claim regarding Chadhar’s marital status. According to her, other issues and alleged fraudulent activities had also come to light, influencing her decision.

She further claimed that the dispute was never about financial transactions and alleged that concerns over potential disclosures motivated attempts to silence her. Momina also questioned claims regarding large financial dealings that had been linked to the controversy.

In her post, the actress alleged that Saqib Chadhar was facing cheque bounce cases and claimed that investigations and raids were underway. She further alleged that more details regarding alleged fraud would soon become public.

Accompanying the post, Momina wrote that those involved were “habitual offenders” and said the time had come to expose individuals whom she accused of hiding behind false appearances.

Momina Iqbal entered Pakistan’s entertainment industry in 2018 and gained recognition through her acting and modelling work. She completed her education in Karachi before earning a degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lahore.

Earlier, an issue between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Muhammad Saqib Khan Chadher and actress Momina Iqbal’s sister reached the police station.

The lawmaker submitted a written complaint at Bhawana Police Station in Chiniot, seeking registration of a case against the actress’s sister, Ramsha Iqbal.

In his application, Saqib Chadher stated that Ramsha Iqbal needed a strong bank statement for a visa application to travel to Australia.

He alleged that, to help her, he deposited large sums of money into her account on trust. According to the complaint, a total of Rs 8 million was involved in the transactions.
