The Sindh government has announced a new People’s Bus Service route between Larkana and Shahdadkot through Qambar. The new service will start on September 18.
The new route will help people travel between Larkana, Qambar and Shahdadkot more easily.

New bus route to start on September 18

The decision was made at a meeting of the Sindh Transport and Mass Transit Department. Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon chaired the meeting.
Officials discussed the progress of ongoing transport projects. They also reviewed the performance of current bus services and plans to expand the People’s Bus Service to more cities and districts.
Under the new plan, buses will operate on the Larkana-Qambar-Shahdadkot route. People living in these cities and nearby areas will have another option for daily travel and trips between cities.
Memon directed the department to complete all preparations before the launch. Officials were also asked to make sure passengers have the needed facilities.
The route was already part of the government’s plan to expand bus services across Sindh.
Earlier this month, officials said buses for the Qambar-Shahdadkot-Larkana route had arrived in Larkana. Preparations for the service were also underway.

Sindh plans wider transport expansion

The new route is part of a larger plan to improve public transport in Sindh.
The Sindh Mass Transit Authority says the Peoples Bus Service is to provide safe and affordable transport. The service covers travel within cities as well as between districts.
The current system includes red buses, pink buses and electric buses. The listed services cover 14 routes. They have a reported daily ridership of about 100,000 passengers.
The provincial government is also working on other transport projects. These include electric taxis, more electric buses and double-decker buses. Major Bus Rapid Transit projects are also being developed.
