Motorists advised to follow diversion plan on Park Road

The Islamabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic diversion plan for motorists due to ongoing construction work at the Margalla Enclave underpass on Park Road.

Under the traffic plan, vehicles travelling from Rawal Dam Chowk toward Taramari will be diverted via NIH Road. Traffic will pass through Mohra Noor before rejoining Park Road.

Similarly, commuters heading from Taramari toward Rawal Dam Chowk will be redirected through Chai Khana and the CDA Nursery, using two temporary roads alongside the iron grill to merge back onto Park Road.

To avoid delays and ease traffic pressure near the construction site, motorists have been advised to use alternate routes, including Lehtrar Road, Khanna Pul, and the Islamabad Expressway.

Authorities cautioned that Park Road is likely to remain heavily congested throughout the construction period. Citizens are urged to plan their travel and allocate an additional 20 to 30 minutes for their journeys.

Traffic police personnel will remain deployed in the area to ensure smooth traffic flow and assist commuters. For real-time updates or further guidance, citizens may contact the traffic helpline at 1915 or the emergency number 15.

On the other hand, Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa chaired a high-level meeting to review the construction of Eleventh Avenue.

The meeting also deliberated on the completion of construction work on 10th Avenue. Participants were informed that both roads will significantly ease traffic entering the city from Margalla Avenue, Srinagar Highway and other adjoining highways.

Chairman CDA emphasised the timely completion of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for all future projects. He directed that all obstacles hindering the construction of Tenth and Eleventh Avenues be removed and that a comprehensive construction plan be developed to address future traffic requirements.
