International passengers travelling abroad from Pakistan will be required to carry a valid NADRA vaccination certificate from September 14, 2026.
According to new instructions issued by the Airport Health Department, passengers without the required vaccination certificate may not be allowed to travel internationally.
Umrah pilgrims have specially been advised to obtain their NADRA vaccination cards before reaching the airport for departure. Airlines have also been instructed to check the vaccination certificates of Umrah passengers before allowing them to board their flights.
Vaccination facility for international travellers
According to the notification, the Federal Government Civil Dispensary has been designated as the centre for vaccinating international travellers.
Passengers who need to receive their vaccination at the airport should arrive at least six hours before their scheduled departure. This will provide enough time to complete the vaccination and registration requirements before the flight.
The Airport Health Department said vaccination services and the required online registration will be available in the international departure area of the airport.
Passengers have been advised to complete the required process before travelling to avoid delays or problems at the airport.
How to get NADRA vaccination certificate?
Travellers who have already received the required vaccinations can obtain their vaccination certificate online.
Passengers can access the NADRA vaccination certificate service online and enter their CNIC and other required details. They can pay the required certificate fee and download the digital certificate containing a QR code, after completing the verification process.
Reportedly, the certificate currently costs Rs100 and payment can be made using a debit or credit card, JazzCash or Easypaisa. The certificate can be downloaded digitally, after the payment is successfully processed.
Airlines will also have a role in enforcing the new rules by checking passengers’ vaccination documents before boarding.
International passengers planning to travel on or after September 14 should therefore check their vaccination status and obtain the required NADRA certificate before reaching the airport.
NADRA clarifies ID card reprint rules
On the other hand, previously, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) clarified that citizens do not need to apply for a new or reprinted identity card after registering their iris data.
According to a NADRA official, citizens only need to visit a NADRA Registration Centre to have their iris data recorded. There is no requirement to apply for a replacement or reprinted identity card once the scan is completed.
