Pakistan Single Window (PSW) has integrated its platform with the National Database and Registration Authority’s PakID Mobile App. The integration allows eligible users to complete mandatory biometric verification remotely. The new facility removes the need for users to visit a NADRA e-Sahulat Centre for certain PSW services. Users can now complete biometric checks through their smartphones. The service covers PSW subscription, subscription renewal, and profile updates. Users must still meet the applicable requirements for biometric verification. Previously, PSW users had to visit an e-Sahulat Centre in person. This was required during the verification process for relevant PSW services.
The new digital system changes that process. Eligible users can use the PakID Mobile App to complete the required verification remotely.
Remote Verification for Overseas Pakistanis
The new facility could be useful for overseas Pakistanis involved in trade activities in Pakistan. Previously, some users needed to travel to Pakistan for biometric verification. The remote option can reduce the need for such physical visits. PSW said the integration responds to feedback from its users in Pakistan and abroad. The organisation also highlighted the convenience of completing more steps online.
During the transition period, both verification options will remain available. Users can complete the process through the PakID app or visit NADRA e-Sahulat Centres. This arrangement gives users an alternative while the digital process expands.
