NADRA Makes It Easier to Obtain Key Certificates Online in Punjab

Web desk: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken a significant step to make obtaining important certificates easier for citizens. This has reduced the need for long queues, repeated visits, and time-consuming trips to offices.

Under a new agreement between NADRA and the Punjab Local Government Department, residents can now apply for birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates online through their Union Councils.

The agreement was signed by the Secretary of Local Government, Punjab, Mian Shakeel Ahmed and NADRA Lahore Regional Director General Fizza Shahid.

The initiative aims to allow citizens to access essential certificates from the comfort of their homes using the Pak ID mobile app. This streamlined the process of registration, verification, and issuance of these documents across all Union Councils in Punjab.

Previously, citizens had to visit offices for biometric verification, but the system has now been improved to allow verification at any nearby authorised centre or via the mobile app itself, making the application process more convenient.

The new system enables residents to complete all steps online and receive their certificates without visiting government offices, saving time and effort.

Officials say this development represents an important advancement in delivering faster and more efficient citizen services in the province.

This move is expected to significantly simplify access to vital documents and improve overall public service delivery in Punjab.
