Peshawar Zalmi is a famous team of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), also known as PSL HBL. PSL is the big cricket event of Pakistan and was started in 2016. Peshawar Zalmi won the event in 2017 against Quetta Gladiators. Peshawar Zalmi announced their new assistant and bowling coach for HBL PSL 11.
In the tweet on X, the outlet announced that Azhar Mahmood will be its assistant and bowling coach for HBL PSL 11. The tweet on Peshawar Zalmi’s official X account says, “ We are thrilled to welcome Azhar Mahmood as Peshawar Zalmi’s AssistantCoach & BowlingCoach for HBL PSL 11. He will be taking on a dual role this season, bringing his vast international, domestic, and PSL experience to strengthen the squad.” The outlet also wrote on X, “Welcome to the Zalmi Family, Coach.”
Who is Azhar Mahmood?
Azhar Mahmood was a strong all-rounder and an aggressive batsman. He started his career with three test centuries against South Africa. He made his debut in 1996 as an aggressive batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He played an important role in Pakistan’s victory in Tests and ODIs. After his retirement, Azhar Mahmood played various T20 series in different countries.
However, Peshawar Zalmi has selected Azhar Mahmood as their assistant and bowling coach for the upcoming PSL starting in March this year.
