The new prices for petrol and diesel have been announced in Pakistan for August 14, 2026. The price of petrol has been increased by Rs0.45 per litre, and the price of diesel has been increased by Rs1.16 per litre, according to the notification.
What are petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan for today?
The price of petrol has been set at Rs325.43 per litre, and the price of diesel has been set at Rs383.95 per litre. These prices have been changed for the next 24 hours.
Previously, the price of petrol was reduced by Rs 0.94 per litre. The price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs 0.54 per litre.
The new price of petrol was fixed at Rs 324.98 per litre. Similarly, the new price of diesel was fixed at Rs 382.79 per litre.
Before that, the government had decided to keep the prices of petroleum products unchanged. This means that the price of petrol has been fixed at Rs 327.62 per litre. The price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 380.86 per litre.
Petroleum dealers announce nationwide strike
Talks between petroleum dealers and the government have failed, according to reports today.
Dealers have announced an indefinite nationwide strike from 6 AM on Saturday, August 15. The talks with Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik remained tense.
The negotiations lasted for five hours and were led by Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association Chairman Malik Khuda Bakhsh. The minister expressed concern over the 72-hour deadline given by the dealers.
According to the Petroleum Dealers Association chairman, the government refused to reconsider the system of changing petroleum prices daily.
However, the government said the dealers’ demand to increase their margin by Rs1.34 would be discussed. Any approval will depend on a decision by the federal cabinet.
According to the association, the petroleum dealers’ delegation immediately returned to Karachi following the meeting with the federal minister and called an emergency meeting of its executive committee in Karachi.
