New prices of ghee cooking oil announced

The prices of ghee and cooking oil have reached historic highs, further adding to the hardships of the people worried about inflation.

According to the details, the rates of daily groceries are increasing every day. Similarly, the rate of ghee and cooking oil has increased recently. After the increase of Rs 3 per kg, the new price of ghee is Rs 598.

On the other hand, the price of cooking oil is Rs 618 per kg. The common citizens with a middle-class lifestyle in Pakistan are unable to afford to buy these items to run the kitchen.

Earlier, last week, the price of a 10 kg bag of flour was increased by Rs 10 to Rs 20. Now the price of flour is Rs 200 per kg.

Similarly, the good quality rice in the market is expensive too, as the middle-class citizens are unable to afford to buy rice.

Due to high inflation in the country, the citizens showed aggression and demanded that the government take notice of the situation. The citizens also demanded relief from the government by decreasing the prices of daily groceries.

On the other hand, traditional sacrificial animal markets across the country are witnessing a sharp increase in activity and setup operations amid Eidul Azha. Traders have started establishing temporary cattle markets in major cities, including Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad and Karachi, while buyers are visiting the markets in search of sacrificial animals according to their budgets.

According to reports, the demand for livestock is increasing rapidly as Eid draws closer, leading to a noticeable rise in prices.
