Detailed guidance has been shared by the Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment of Pakistan for citizens who are seeking long-term migration under a skilled residence pathway in New Zealand.
They have outlined costs, eligibility criteria and visa application costs.
Visa Benefits:
The visa has a lot of benefits. It will allow successful applicants to study and work in New Zealand indefinitely. The successful applicants will also be allowed to include partners and children aged 24 or younger.
Application fees according to officials start at NZD 6450. If the migrants hold the visa continuously for two years, they may be able to become eligible for a Permanent Resident Visa.
This will grant him or her unrestricted travel in and out of New Zealand.
Visa Eligibility Criteria:
The Bureau has outlined some conditions to get the visa. The conditions include the applicants being aged 55 or under. Health and Character standards should also be met and they should also demonstrate English language ability.
Another key requirement is securing a full-time job.
This visa is just for skilled workers hence the applicants must have six skilled resident points.
Job Offer and Employment Requirements:
It is also important that the job offer the applicant has is full-time. It should require at least 30 hours a week.
It has to be permanent for at least six months.
The employer of the applicant must be accredited. The ANZSCO level has to be around level one to three which pays at least the 2025 median wage of NZD 35 an hour.
English Language Requirements
English language requirements are also a must. Proof of English proficiency is required for applicants. If the applicants are bringing partners and children aged 16 and above, they also have to show English proficiency or they will have to pay for English classes in New Zealand.
