There will be no judicial work in the Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) tomorrow, Monday, according to a notification issued with the approval of Chief Justice, Justice Aminuddin Khan.
The decision has been taken in view of the difficulties faced by lawyers, litigants and court officials due to the closure of the Red Zone.
The cause list for Monday, April 20, has been cancelled, the notification stated. Court staff will work from home, while judicial and administrative matters will continue at the remaining four registry branches of the Federal Constitutional Court.
It is worth mentioning here that in the federal capital, Islamabad, due to the possible start of the second round of talks between the United States and Iran and ongoing important diplomatic activities, the district administration has imposed a complete ban on the entry of public and heavy transport into the city and has made extraordinary security arrangements.
According to a post by the Islamabad Deputy Commissioner (DC) on the social media platform X, this decision has been taken to ensure the security of international delegations and to maintain smooth traffic flow in the federal capital.
The DC also stated that the major bus terminal at Faizabad, which connects the twin cities, has been temporarily closed. It is likely to remain closed until further notice.
The administration has urged citizens to fully cooperate with security agencies, understand the sensitivity of the situation, and avoid unnecessary travel.
