No loadshedding will be carried out in Lahore from Tuesday night until Wednesday as the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced uninterrupted power supply on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
Uninterrupted electricity will be provided so that people can attend religious events and gatherings without any disruption.
Additionally, the power supply company has ensured that field officers and relevant staff will remain available in case of any technical faults or issues with the electricity supply in Lahore. LESCO has also stated that all other necessary arrangements have been completed by its teams.
It is pertinent to mention that Lahoris have recently been facing unannounced loadshedding, along with unbearable weather conditions due to the monsoon.
Other arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi
In another development, Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic plan for the Eid Milad-un-Nabi procession in the capital, with several roads set to face diversions during the event.
The main procession will start from the Rahmat Community Centre Ground in G-7. It will pass through Jamia Masjid Al-Raza in G-7, Jamia Masjid Al-Habib in G-7/3, Street 55, and the service road near Iqbal Hall before proceeding through Melody Chowk, Aabpara and Sohrwardi Road. The procession will conclude at Sakhi Mehmood Darbar.
Islamabad Traffic Police have urged citizens to use alternative routes and follow traffic updates through the department’s social media pages and ITP FM 92.4 during the procession.
Earlier, a public holiday was announced on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, which falls on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
