If you are looking for a phone that keeps you away from the glare of social media and unnecessary notifications, HMD’s new device deserves your attention.
Mobile manufacturing company HMD has officially introduced its new clamshell feature phone, the Nokia 2360 Flip, in the Philippines. This classic phone has been specifically designed to meet the everyday needs of senior citizens and school-going children, with a focus on ease of use.
Looking at the phone’s design and display, the Nokia 2360 Flip features a 2.8-inch internal display screen alongside a 1.77-inch external screen, allowing users to check the time and notifications without opening the phone.
The device is powered by a 1,450mAh removable battery. In addition, it comes with a QVGA camera for basic photography, a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio and a loudspeaker, while its internal storage capacity is 4MB.
The most important feature that distinguishes this phone from other feature phones is ‘Family Assist’. With the help of this feature, designated family members can remotely manage the phone’s contacts, adjust its volume levels and set daily reminders for senior citizens or children.
To deal with any unexpected situation, the phone is equipped with a dedicated SOS button. When this button is pressed, the phone automatically calls the primary emergency contact number, while emergency alert messages are also sent to five selected numbers saved in advance.
However, it is worth noting that the phone supports only 2G networks and does not offer modern 4G or 5G connectivity. With its clamshell design, this device is an excellent and safe choice for all those who prefer simple and reliable communication while staying away from the complications of smartphones.
