Security sources said on Wednesday that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq has resumed after a temporary pause observed for Eid ul Fitr and at the request of Islamic countries. They confirmed that the pause ended at midnight between March 23 and 24.
Last week, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar announced the temporary halt, saying it was made at the request of brotherly countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkiye, in view of Eid ul Fitr. He had stated that the pause would remain in effect from midnight March 18/19 to midnight March 23/24, 2026.
Security sources said today that forces are carrying out a continuous, precise, and targeted military operation against terrorist leaders, their support and command structures, logistics networks, and all facilitators and abettors in areas controlled by the Afghan Taliban regime.
“Operations under Ghazab Lil Haq will continue until the objectives are achieved and the Afghan Taliban regime reviews its misplaced priority of supporting terror proxies over the welfare of the Afghan people and Pakistan,” the sources added.

Pakistan Army’s strong retaliatory actions against the Afghan Taliban and Fitna Al-Khawarij are ongoing along the Pak-Afghan border, according to security sources.
Sources said that Pakistani forces targeted multiple Afghan Taliban posts in the South Waziristan sector as part of Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq. The operation focused on militant positions stretching from Shawal to Zarmalan, where all identified posts were effectively destroyed.
Security officials stated that the intense military operations forced Afghan Taliban fighters to retreat, compelling them to flee from their positions in the area.
