Oppo recently began teasing the global launch of the Reno16 series in collaboration with the Kpop girl group BABYMONSTER.
The company has now announced that the Reno16 series will be revealed on June 25.
The phones will initially debut in Thailand and Spain with plans to expand to other markets later on.
The Oppo smartphones show the new 3D Pop Planet Design that has a bold and unique aesthetic inspired by cosmic visuals.
The global versions of the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro are said to be different from the Chinese variants. There is not much information on how different they will be.
Reno16 Pro specs
The Reno16 Pro and Reno16 are expected to feature a compact 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED dispay.
It will have a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and protection from Gorilla Glass 7i. This will allow smooth scrolling and better gaming experiences for mobile gamers.
The Pro model is also expected to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8550.
On the other hand, the standard model may also use the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC.
Battery capacities may also differ with the Reno16 Pro holding a 6700mAh battery. Reno16 may have a 6000mAh battery.
However, competitors are offering larger batteries, some even exceeding 7000mAh.
Both phones are also expected to include a 200MP primary camera along with a 3.5x telephoto lens.
This camera could give the Oppo Reno16 series a competitive advantage over its rivals.
