Several parts of Pakistan are likely to receive more rain in the coming days. Thunderstorms and strong winds are also expected as the monsoon system continues to affect the country.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said a westerly wave is expected to become active from August 31. The weather system may continue until September 5.
The Flood Forecasting Division has also warned of changes in river flows. The rain is expected to affect the upper areas of major rivers from August 29 to September 2.
Water levels in the Jhelum, Chenab and Ravi may rise moderately as well.
When will it rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi?
Islamabad and Rawalpindi may also receive rain and thunderstorms from August 29 to September 5.
Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot and Narowal are also expected to see rainfall.
Faisalabad, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh may receive rain as well. Heavy rain is possible in some places.
Central and southern parts of Punjab may see more rain between September 1 and 5.
Multan, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan are among the areas expected to receive rain.

When is rain expected in Kashmir and Punjab?
Kashmir is likely to receive rain, strong winds and thunderstorms from the evening of August 28.
Some areas may also see heavy rain. The spell could continue until September 6.
Areas including Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Bagh, Kotli, Bhimber and Mirpur are likely to be affected.
When will it rain in KP and Gilgit-Baltistan?
Several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to receive rain from August 29 to September 5.
Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Swat, Dir, Chitral and Kohat may see rain and thunderstorms.
Southern parts of KP could receive rain from September 1 to 4. These areas include Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Karak and Waziristan.
