Speaking at a press conference held in Dhaka on Tuesday, captain of the national ODI team Shaheen Shah Afridi stated that three players will make their debut in the series against Bangladesh.
Shaheen Afridi said that no one has been dropped for this series. However, the management wants to give opportunities to young players.
He said these players will help make the team stronger in the future, and the team is preparing for the upcoming World Cup. The plan is to find the best combination.
According to the captain, three players will be making their debut in this series, including Moaz Sadaqat, Sahibzada Farhan and Shamil Hussain.
In the match, Moaz Sadaqat will open while Shamil Hussain will open at the one-down.
The captain stated that the players who have been selected in the squad have played “List A” cricket and represented Pakistan Shaheens. He added that players such as Moaz Sadaqat and Sahibzada Farhan are already good players.
Responding to a question, Shaheen Afridi said every team performs better in home conditions. He added that the playing XI will be decided according to the needs of the team and the condition of the pitch.
Trophy Unveiled
The trophy for the One Day Match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh has been unveiled.
The unveiling of the trophy was done by the captains of both teams. The first One Day match of the series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played tomorrow.
Meanwhile, head coach of Pakistan cricket team Mike Hesson stated he was confident in the selection of the team for the ODI series against Bangladesh, which comprises new players, and said that newcomers in the team have earned their place in the national team through excellent performances in Pakistan Shaheens and domestic cricket.
He further said that playing in the Bangladesh condition will not be easy, and the team will have to quickly adapt to the pitch so that they can provide tough competition to the host team on their home ground.

The first match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played tomorrow. The second and third matches are scheduled for March 13 and March 15 respectively. All three matches will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka.
The 15-member squad for the Bangladesh tour is led by Shaheen Afridi. The squad includes Abid Samad, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Faisal Akram, Haris Rauf, Hussain Talat, and Muaz Siddiqui.
Besides them, Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Wasim Jr, Mohammad Ghazi Ghori, Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha and Shumail Hussain are also part of the squad.
