Pakistan's charity delivers 10,000 iftar meals as aid to Gaza daily

Pakistan’s Al-Khidmat Foundation (AKF) has increased the provision of daily meals, water supplies, and emergency relief to families in Gaza during the sacred month of Ramadan.

Palestinians are observing the fasting month amidst significant humanitarian challenges following over two years of conflict.

The two-year war, which commenced in October 2023, has resulted in the deaths of more than 72,000 Palestinians and left over 171,000 others injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.

Extensive regions of Gaza have been devastated, forcing residents to rely on humanitarian aid despite a ceasefire established in October 2025 between Israel and Hamas.

Al Khidmat Foundation sends 40 aid shipments to Gaza

Since the onset of the conflict, AKF has sent 40 aid shipments to Gaza, financed by public contributions in Pakistan and delivered with the support of the government and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

“Every day, we are providing 20,000 liters of water to those who are breaking their fast,” AKF President Arshad Malik stated on Monday.

“Additionally, each day, families are receiving 10,000 meals for iftar in Gaza.”, he added further.

Malik stated that the organisation has focused on food staples to send as aid to Gaza which are adapted to local requirements during Ramadan.

“During Ramadan, our focus has been on essential food items such as oil, hummus, dates, and flour. These provisions come from the people of Pakistan for the people of Gaza”, he added.

Al-Khidmat, one of the largest humanitarian charities in Pakistan, is registered in multiple countries including the UK, US, and Norway, and has offices in Japan, Italy, and Turkiye.

Since October 2023, it has been providing aid from Pakistan through chartered flights and maritime shipments, managing cross-border logistics via Jordan and depending on local teams within Gaza.
