KARACHI: Pakistan’s cricket legend Moin Khan has termed the news of his death circulating on social media as baseless.
“Alhamdullillah I am perfectly fine and healthy, the news regarding my health circulating on the social media are baseless”, he said in a video message.
Whoever has spread such a rumour has demonstrated a very irresponsible behaviour, he said.
“ I request all my fans to remember me in their prayers”.
Rumours had been circulating on the social media regarding the death of the 54 year old former wicket keeper from heart failure.
Moin Khan was a key figure in Pakistan cricket from 1990 to 2004, most notably as a member of the 1992 Cricket World Cup-winning squad. Throughout his career, he achieved significant milestones, including over 100 catches in Tests, and more than 3,000 runs and 200 catches in ODIs.
