Pakistan embassy in Washington celebrates Marka-e-Haq anniversary

The Embassy of Pakistan, Washington D.C. held a grand ceremony to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, calling it a symbol of Pakistan’s unity, strength, and national resolve.

A large number of people attended the event, including members of the Pakistani-American community, scholars, students, business leaders, embassy officials, and media representatives.

Members of the Pakistani-American community took part enthusiastically and expressed their love and support for Pakistan. Patriotic songs and chants of “Pakistan Zindabad” created an energetic atmosphere and reflected national pride and unity.

Speakers at the ceremony paid tribute to the men and women of Pakistan’s armed forces for protecting the country’s sovereignty and dignity with courage and professionalism. They also praised the civil and military leadership for guiding the country during a difficult time.

Officials read out messages from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Video messages from the deputy prime minister and defence minister also repeated Pakistan’s commitment to defending the country at all costs.

During the ceremony, the ambassador said the nation showed its true strength through unity during the May 2025 conflict. He added that the people stood firmly with the leadership and armed forces against the enemy’s plans.
