Which areas in Pakistan are facing load shedding
The Power Division previously claimed that no load shedding is currently being carried out anywhere in Pakistan and that electricity demand is being fully met. However, many residents say they continue to experience regular power outages during the ongoing heatwave.
Netizens complain that electricity load shedding and the scorching heat are making life increasingly difficult for them.

Another netizen from Peshawar wrote about 16 hours of load shedding, while another from Sialkot claimed that transformers burst in Model Town, Ugoki, and there has been no electricity for four days.
A netizen from a village in Punjab’s District Lodhran, Tehsil Dunyapur, stated that whether it is the morning, evening or night, the light goes out. The netizen further added that the people with solar, UPS and AC’s enjoy while load shedding disturbs their sleep.
A netizen from Shabqadar informed of a half-hour load shedding along with repeated power interruptions in the severe heat.
Additionally, another social media user added that Sufaid Sang, which is located about 2 kilometres from Warsak Dam, is experiencing extreme load shedding.
The netizen states that despite being so close to the dam, electricity is available for only about two hours a day, one hour during the daytime and one hour at night.
A social media user from Upper Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reported that there had been load shedding for almost 22 hours with only two hours of power supply. While a social media user from Rawalpindi said that the city faced load shedding for more than 16 hours the previous night.
Another user from Faisalabad said that they are facing 3 hours of load-shedding at night.

Lahore load shedding

Lahore residents have reported 4 to 5 hours of unannounced load shedding in the city previously.
The complaint is paired with that of low voltage and damaging power fluctuations. According to the reports, Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) says that electricity supply exceeds demand.

Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday said those criticising the province’s local government system should first ensure local bodies are functioning in their own provinces.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Shah said people in areas where local governments are either inactive or do not exist are themselves demanding effective local councils.
He also condemned 12 to 18 hours of power load shedding in the city, saying, “There is 18 hours load shedding in the city, while the federal government is denying permission to install the power plants.”
