This year’s World Championship of Legends (WCL) will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) between October 3 and 18, featuring former players from seven countries.
The competition will feature teams from Pakistan, India, Australia, England, West Indies, South Africa and Bangladesh, with some of the most familiar faces in international cricket.
The tournament will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Dubai International Cricket Stadium, which will provide another opportunity for fans to enjoy the sport from the big screen.
The tournament schedule says that the first match will be played in Sharjah on October 3, when the India Champions will take on the Australia Champions and Pakistan Champions against the Bangladesh Champions.
The eagerly awaited clash between Pakistan Champions and India Champions will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on October 10. The match is expected to get a lot of eyeballs from fans of both nations.
The 2024 edition was won by defending champions South Africa.
In the meantime, Pakistan Champions owner Kamil Khan has stated that the Pakistan side would leave for Dubai on September 30.
The squad is to be released on 28th September, and the send-off ceremony in honour of the team will be held in Lahore on 29th September.
There are going to be 24 matches in the tournament, including semi-finals and the final, which will be played in Sharjah.
