Pakistan Navy successfully conducts surface-to-air missile

KARACHI: Pakistan Navy successfully conducted a Live Weapon Firing (LWF) of the FM-90(N) ER Surface-to-Air Missile in the North Arabian Sea.

During the firepower demonstration, a Pakistan Navy ship effectively engaged highly manoeuvrable aerial targets, reaffirming the Navy’s war-fighting capability and combat readiness. Commander Pakistan Fleet witnessed the live firing at sea onboard a Pakistan Navy Fleet unit.

Commander Pakistan Fleet commended the officers and men involved for their high level of professionalism, dedication, and operational competence. He reiterated Pakistan Navy’s unwavering resolve to ensure the seaward defence of Pakistan and to safeguard national maritime interests under all circumstances.

Pakistan Navy tests locally developed anti-ship ballistic missile: ISPR

Earlier, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that the Pakistan Navy had conducted a successful test of an indigenously developed ship-launched anti-ship ballistic missile.

“The system is equipped with state-of-the-art guidance and advanced manoeuvrability features,” the ISPR said in a statement.

“The flight test was witnessed by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, senior scientists and engineers.”

The ISPR deemed the successful test launch “a testimony to Pakistan’s technological prowess and Pakistan Navy’s unwavering commitment to safeguard national interests”.
