PCB unveils schedule for Pakistan women’s team Sri Lanka tour

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the schedule for the Pakistan women’s cricket team’s upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.

The team will play a series of six white-ball matches in Hambantota next month, with all games scheduled to take place at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium.

The three One Day Internationals (ODIs), which are part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025–29, will be played on July 23, 25, and 28.

Pakistan currently sits second in the championship standings, having won four of its six matches and collected eight points. New Zealand leads the table with 13 points, while Sri Lanka is in third place.

In addition to the ODIs, the Pakistan women’s team will also compete in three Twenty20 Internationals during the same tour. These matches are scheduled for July 31, August 2, and August 4.

According to records, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have faced each other 21 times in T20 Internationals. Pakistan has won 11 matches, Sri Lanka has won 9, and one match ended with no result.

In ODIs, the two teams have played 34 matches against each other. Pakistan has won 11, Sri Lanka has won 22, and one match ended without a result.

It is worth noting that both teams are currently preparing for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the UK, which is set to begin on June 12.
