Pakistani artist Eeman Masood is showcasing her hand-painted animation on the iconic billboards of Times Square in New York City.

The work is displayed nightly from 11:57pm to 12:00am across 96 screens, with February designated as her showcase month.

In a post on Instagram, she said, “I’m overwhelmed by the love this project has received from all over the world and profoundly thankful to Times Square Arts and their wonderful team for presenting the work in such an iconic public space!”

“This moment truly feels like the result of so much collective support, belief, and encouragement. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who trusted me, stood by me, and helped shape this journey in ways big and small,” the Pakistani artist added.

Eeman Masood, an alumnus of the National College of Arts, is recognised for her miniature and watercolor paintings. In an interview with media, Masood described how her artistic training began with traditional hand-painted artwork, which she later developed into animation for her master’s degree at the University of Victoria in Canada. This allowed her to merge her painstakingly hand-painted style with the capabilities of digital animation, creating a piece that was both delicate and immersive.
