Flights to UAE shifted as PIA revises operations

The changes have come as flight schedules have been badly affected due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

A total of 101 flights were cancelled today, while outbound international flights from eight airports in Pakistan were disrupted. This also includes the Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Cancelled flights included routes to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Sharjah, Kuwait, Qatar, Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan, and Dubai.

Over the past 18 days, around 2,000 flights have been cancelled from eight major airports across the country.

Passengers have also been advised by both local and international airlines to check their flight schedules before heading to the airport.

Reports also indicate that the passengers in Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Faisalabad, Multan, and Sialkot had to return from airports due to disruptions.

Airport sources have also said that special flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have once again been suspended.
