Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is expanding its UK operations, increasing flights to London to seven per week and announcing the resumption of direct flights to Birmingham from December 1.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the airline will operate three weekly flights to Birmingham, while London services will be operated daily to provide passengers with more travel options between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
The spokesperson said modern Boeing 777 aircraft would be deployed on London routes, offering passengers an upgraded in-flight experience, including a modern entertainment system.
Following the resumption of UK operations after a six-year ban, PIA is expanding its services to include five weekly flights from Islamabad and two from Lahore to London. The expanded schedule will provide daily air connectivity between Pakistan and the UK.
The spokesperson added that several initiatives were underway to improve the national carrier’s services and restore its standing in the aviation industry. These measures include refurbishing aircraft cabins, introducing new cabin crew uniforms designed by renowned Pakistani designer Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, and plans to add advanced Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft to the fleet.
According to the spokesperson, the initiatives are aimed at improving passenger comfort, modernising the airline’s services and strengthening its international operations. The expansion of UK routes is expected to provide greater convenience for passengers travelling between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
