The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad has announced admissions for its BS Nursing programme. A total of 50 seats are available under different regional and institutional quotas.
Applicants must have at least 50 per cent marks in FSc Pre-Medical. They must also have scored at least 50 marks in the SZABMU entry test held on September 1, 2026.
What are the eligibility criteria?
Candidates must meet the following requirements to apply:
- Matric Science with Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
- At least 50 per cent marks in FSc Pre-Medical.
- Age between 16 and 35 years.
- Both married and unmarried candidates can apply.
- A minimum score of 50 in the specified SZABMU entry test.
PIMS has reserved 90 per cent of the seats for female candidates and 10 per cent for male candidates.

The institute has distributed the seats among different regions and categories.

How will merit be calculated?
PIMS will calculate merit based on three factors. The SZABMU entry test will carry 50 per cent weight. FSc marks will carry 35 per cent weight. Matric marks will account for the remaining 15 per cent.
How can candidates apply?
Applicants must collect the admission form and prospectus from the School of Nursing at PIMS in G-8/3, Islamabad. Forms will be available between 8 AM and 2 PM.
Candidates must submit their completed forms in person. They should also attach attested copies of their academic documents, domicile and CNIC or B-Form. Two passport-size photographs and any other required certificates must also be included.
Is hostel accommodation available?
Hostel accommodation is available for female students based on need. However, PIMS has stated that students will not receive a stipend or other financial assistance during the programme.
