The Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, thanks the US President, Donald Trump, for extending the ceasefire with Iran.
As per the official statement of PM Shehbaz on X, he said, “On my personal behalf and on behalf of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, I sincerely thank President Trump for graciously accepting our request to extend the ceasefire to allow ongoing diplomatic efforts to take their course.”
Shehbaz Sharif said, “With the trust and confidence reposed in, Pakistan shall continue its earnest efforts for a negotiated settlement of the conflict.”
He further stated, “I sincerely hope that both sides will continue to observe the ceasefire and be able to conclude a comprehensive ‘Peace Deal’ during the second round of talks scheduled at Islamabad for a permanent end to the conflict.”
PM Shehbaz also tagged the Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Mohammad Bhagher Ghalibaf, the US Vice President, JD Vance, the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, special envoy, Steve Witkoff, and the special envoy for peace missions.

Trump extends ceasefire with Iran
The US President, Donald Trump, has extended the ceasefire with Iran.
Upon the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir and PM Shehbaz Sharif, we have been asked to hold our Attack on the country of Iran, said Trump.
Pakistan has achieved the biggest victory today, as the US President has extended the ceasefire with Iran at its request.
It is also a major victory for Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Prime Minister (PM) of Pakistan, as Trump held the attacks on their request.
Trump said, “Upon the request of Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, of Pakistan, we have been asked to hold our attack on the country of Iran until such time as their leaders and representatives can come up with a unified proposal.”
He stated, “I have therefore directed our Military to continue the Blockade and, in all other respects, remain ready and able.”
I extend the ceasefire until such time as Iran’s proposal is submitted, and discussions are concluded, one way or the other, said the US President.
President Trump talked about Iran by saying, “The government of Iran is seriously fractured.”
