The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. According to the department, rain is expected at some places in northeastern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

In view of the weather conditions, residents of these areas have been advised to remain cautious and stay updated on possible changes in the weather. Rain, particularly in mountainous areas, could cause local rivers and streams to rise and may create difficulties for travellers.

Meanwhile, the water situation in the country’s rivers remains under close observation. Medium-level flooding continues at Kalabagh on the Indus River, where the water inflow has been recorded at 398,000 cusecs. Low-level flooding has also been reported at Chashma Barrage, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur Barrage.

According to the Flood Forecasting Division in Lahore, the water situation in other rivers across the country remains normal, and no unusual conditions have been reported so far. The rain forecast comes as monsoon activity continues in different parts of the country. Citizens have been advised to monitor the latest weather updates and follow instructions issued by local authorities. The expected rainfall may affect weather conditions in mountainous areas and could also disrupt road and traffic conditions at some locations.
