ISLAMABAD: Police has yet to trace killers of Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) Director (Land) Ihsan Elahi, who was gunned down in the heart of Islamabad late Tuesday night.
According to police, two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on Elahi’s vehicle outside Loafology bakery in Blue Area, killing him instantly. Another man also lost his life in the attack.
Elahi, who had been serving with the FGEHA since 2024, was known for his work in land management and housing projects.
Police have obtained CCTV footage and forensic evidence, confirming that the incident was a targeted killing. Raids are being carried out to trace and arrest the attackers.
FGEHA has expressed its regret over the killing of Ihsan Elahi and demanded immediate arrest of his murder. The FGEHA spokesman said that Ihsan Elahi was a dedicated and honest man.
INTERIOR MINISTER TAKES NOTICE
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday took notice of the brutal murder of FGEHA Director (Land) Ihsan Elahi in Islamabad and ordered a transparent and impartial investigation into the incident.
The minister also sought a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad and directed authorities to arrest all those involved in the killing at the earliest.
Naqvi emphasized that every possible measure must be taken to ensure justice for the victim’s grieving family.
